Capital Bank modified racing driver Burt Myers to appear in HISTORY™ series

MADHOUSE to premiere this Sunday, Jan. 10 at 10 p.m

Raleigh, N.C. — Jan. 8, 2010 — MADHOUSE breaks loose this Sunday on HISTORY. Burt Myers, the popular short track race car driver in NASCARa´s Whelen Southern Modified Tour sponsored by Raleigh-based Capital Bank, will be featured in the new 13-series show premiering Sunday, Jan. 10 at 10 p.m. on HISTORY, formerly the History Channel.

Billed as a new “Hatfields and McCoys,” the show tracks the long history of a family feud between the Myers and Millers all set to the backdrop of intense weekly car races and colorful characters. The activity centers around Bowman Gray Stadium, the quarter-mile racetrack in Winston-Salem that the locals call the “Madhouse.”

In 1999, 23-year old Myers became the youngest driver to win the Bowman Gray Stadium track championship. As the third-generation of Myers family race car drivers, Myers was raised not only to love the track but also to triumph on it. He has 30 victories and three championships and is widely known to his legion of fans who voted him the most popular driver four times. Myers, who is a stay-at-home dad during the day, lives in Kernersville, N.C. with his wife and children.
