Capital Bank adds director to support business banking services

Raleigh, N.C. — Oct. 28, 2009 — Capital Bank, one of North Carolina´s largest community banks, has hired Brian Summers as director of business banking to support the bank´s growing business customers. In a new position at Capital Bank, Summers will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of programs to attract new business customers to the bank.

The team of business bankers across Capital Bank´s 32 statewide branches will also operate under Summers´ leadership. Prior to joining Capital Bank, Summers worked as a market executive for North State Bank and served in various roles at Bank of America including franchise business development manager and business client manager.

Summers earned a bachelor’s degree in business management with a concentration in marketing from North Carolina State University. He currently serves as the treasurer of Kids Voting of Wake County.
