Capital Bank Opens in Clayton

Bank celebrates grand opening of 28th branch with special guests

Raleigh, NC - Dec. 1, 2008 - From the airwaves to the racetrack, well-known personalities will be joining Capital Bank's celebration of the new Clayton branch office. Capital Bank will commemorate the grand opening on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 12701 U.S. Highway 70 West in Clayton. The occasion marks the bank"s entry into the Johnston County market. Local dignitaries, special guests and bank associates will be on hand to celebrate the grand opening throughout the day with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:30 p.m.

Mike Wheless from WQDR's morning show will be broadcasting live on 94.7 FM from the Clayton branch from noon to 2 p.m. In addition, modified racing driver Burt Myers will sign autographs and be available for photographs with guests with his racecar. North Carolina-native Myers is fresh off his win the North-South Shootout and has a large fan base. Guests are encouraged to bring a gently used coat for the Coats for the Children campaign providing warm winter coats to children in need, and help fill Myers´ racecar with coats for the Salvation Army.

A staff of five Capital Bank associates will serve customers in Clayton including Branch Manager and Vice President Wanda Markuson and Todd Warrick, area executive for Clayton. The office also features full-service banking amenities such as a 24-hour ATM machine, two drive-through teller lanes and the staple of Capital Bank lobbies, freshly baked cookies.
