Capital Bank Celebrates Opening of Fourth Asheville Branch

Capital Bank expands footprint to complete the circle in the city

Raleigh, NC - May 28, 2008 - Capital Bank will commemorate the grand opening of its newest branch in Asheville at 11 Market Street, Suite 101 on Tuesday, June 3. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 4:45 p.m. in conjunction with the Asheville Chamber of Commerce. Community leaders, banking officials and local residents will be in attendance to mark the occasion.

"This new downtown branch completes the circle in Asheville," said B. Grant Yarber, Capital president and CEO. "Our customers will be able to visit a Capital Bank branch no matter which corner of the city they find themselves in."

Capital Bank also has branches in North Asheville on Merrimon Avenue, West Asheville on New Leicester Highway, South Asheville on Hendersonville Road. The downtown branch features a 24-hour ATM machine, a complimentary coffee bar and freshly baked cookies, plus other full-service banking amenities.

The North Asheville branch manager, Sonja Turner, was also named the manager of the new downtown branch. Turner has a strong presence in the community and is pleased she can share her commitment to Asheville in a broader geographic area.
