Capital Bank Announces New Senior Vice President

Bank promotes Glenwood Avenue's Kim Howren

Raleigh, NC - April 7, 2008 -Capital Bank recently announced Kim Howren has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Director of Retail Banking. Howren has served as Retail Group Manager at Capital Bank´s Glenwood Avenue branch for the past two years.

"Kim has been an asset to Capital Bank and we know she´ll continue to succeed in her new role as Senior Vice President," said B. Grant Yarber, president and CEO. "Her work is exemplary and we feel fortunate to have her on our team."

Howren is originally from Chesapeake, Virginia and is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill´s Business School.
