Capital Bank CEO to speak at Stars in the East Event

Grant Yarber will participate in the 13th annual Wake County Schools event

Raleigh, NC - March 19, 2008 -B. Grant Yarber, president and CEO of Capital Bank, will be the guest speaker at the 13th annual Stars in the East program hosted by the East Wake Education Foundation. The program, which will be held on March 27th, is a celebration of the talented students in the Eastern Wake County school district and is attended by over 800 community members to show support to the students.

"It´s important to me both personally and professionally to be involved in the community, and I am especially supportive of students and their involvement in the arts. I look forward to attending Stars in the East event on behalf of Capital Bank," said Yarber.

The program is the largest single school-related event held in Eastern Wake County. Former guest speakers have been Congressman Bob Etheridge, former governor Jim Hunt and WRAL´s Bill Leslie. Duke Stevens, former Carolina Mudcats announcer, will be the master of ceremonies for the event.
