Capital Bank Celebrates 10th Anniversary
Triangle-Based Success Story Continues Growth

Raleigh, NC – June 22, 2007 – The past month has been an eventful one for Capital Bank, and CEO Grant Yarber believes a fitting one to mark a milestone as the company celebrates its 10th anniversary.  This month, Capital Bank will commemorate 10 years of bringing “Service Worth Talking About” to North Carolina with a celebration in Sanford on June 28th.

“Our philosophy of truly focusing on the community has been our driving force for the past decade,” said Capital Bank CEO Grant Yarber.  “We are proud to be a part of so many communities across North Carolina.”

Capital Bank was launched in 1997 by a group of area businesspeople interested in having a community bank headquartered in Raleigh. The company has since expanded across the state with 26 locations and recently broke ground for a new branch to open this fall in Zebulon.

Additionally, over the past decade the bank has cultivated its reputation across the state as a strong champion of the communities it serves. Capital Bank has played an active part in supporting many local and regional organizations; Susan G. Komen For The Cure, the Salvation Army Coats for the Children program, the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, as well as the United Way, the Lee County Centennial and Boys and Girls Clubs.
