Capital Bank Honors High School Drama Students

Raleigh, NC – May 10, 2007 - Capital Bank and the North Carolina Theatre will honor over 350 drama students from 14 Triangle area high schools at the Capital Awards on Monday, May 21st. The awards, given to drama departments as well as individual students, are designed to recognize outstanding high school musical productions and performances in 15 categories, including Outstanding Musical, Scene Design, Leading Actor and Leading Actress.  As presenting sponsor of the event, Capital Bank will present the award for Outstanding Ensemble.

The award ceremony will take place on Monday, May 21st at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh at 7:00 p.m. Triangle area judges, including well-known actor Ira David Woods, judged the 14 participating schools throughout the fall and spring.
