Capital Bank’s CEO to Serve as Honorary Chairman of Artsplosure’s 2007 Spring Festival

Raleigh, NC – February 22, 2007 - Capital Bank is honored to announce that B. Grant Yarber, President and Chief Executive Officer of Capital Bank, will serve as Honorary Chairman of Artsplosure’s 28th spring art festival.  In his capacity as Honorary Chairman, Mr. Yarber will lead the Friends of Artsplosure fundraising campaign and serve as public spokesman for the festival steering committee.  "Grant Yarber is a strong supporter of the arts in the Triangle and our organization is fortunate to have him serve in this capacity" said Michael Lowder, Executive Director of Artsplosure. “We look forward to working with him and the good folks at Capital Bank.”

The 2007 Artsplosure’s Raleigh Arts Festival will take place around Moore Square and the City Market area of downtown Raleigh, which is one block to the east of Capital Bank’s new downtown Raleigh headquarters, Capital Bank Plaza. “It’s a great honor to assist with this year’s Artsplosure festival here in the heart of downtown, “says B. Grant Yarber, President and CEO of Capital Bank.  “This is a great event that focuses on bringing our community together through the arts.”   The event, which will be held on May 19th & 20th, will feature 175 juried artists, top musical performances, and Kidsplosure children’s activities.
