Capital Bank to Host Centennial Art Exhibition Reception
SANFORD, N.C. – January 19, 2007 – To kick off Lee County’s Centennial celebration, Capital Bank and the Lee County Centennial Committee will sponsor an art exhibition featuring artwork from Lee, Chatham, and Moore counties. On Tuesday, January 23, the winners of the art exhibition will be on display at the Sanford Steele Street branch of Capital Bank. A reception for the public will be held on Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., showcasing the art of the first, second and third place winners.
“This is a great opportunity for the public to get involved in this wonderful 100-year celebration,” says Linda Foushee, vice president and branch manager of the Steele Street branch of Capital Bank. “We are very excited to host this reception in support of the art exhibition, and we invite everyone to join us.”In addition to the winning pieces, several honorable mention awards will be on display along with Sanford Mayor Cornelia Olive’s “Mayor’s Choice Award.” Capital Bank plans on displaying the art through the end of January.
